LFW Weekend Fun File

Our calendar is full of fantastic events taking place around our city, so be sure to check it out for a more exhaustive list.

In the meantime, here’s a quick peak at some of the things we are looking forward to this week! If you’d like to see your event featured in the Weekend Fun File, or added to our events calendar, let us know! Email us at info@livingfortwayne.com

1. Fort Wayne Youth Theatre’s Ruby Bridges

Friday, Feb. 5 at 7p

Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 6&7 at 2p

A great group of kids putting on a great, meaningful show. This is closing weekend, don’t miss your chance to see it!

2. APQ at Club Soda

Friday, Feb. 5 at 9p

I’m thinking after I see Ruby Bridges Friday night, I’ll hit Club Soda for some wonderful martinis and an awesome show.

3. Cocktails and Sweet Deals

Saturday, Feb. 6 at 11a – 8p

Shop a variety of sweetheart inspired gifts, including framed vintage valentines, handmade felt flower bouquets, and one of a kind vintage jewelry. There’s a raffle and cocktails at a cash bar provided by The Golden.

4. Chickens on Strike

Saturday, Feb. 6, at 11a – 2p

Indiana author Andi Helms will be at Java Mama for a reading and signing! Bring the kiddos for a fun (free) time!

5. Foreveresta Grand Opening

Saturday, Feb. 6 at 12p – 5p

I love retail that makes a difference. Celebrate Foreveresta’s grand opening and learn about how they and their partners are changing the world.

Red Dress Dash

Saturday, Feb. 6, at 1:30pm – 3:30pm

Get ready to throw on your favorite (or not so favorite) red dress over your winter clothing and DASH with us through the streets of downtown Fort Wayne to support women’s heart health! I probably won’t be dashing (not a runner) but I’ll definitely walk for the cause!

Roller Derby

Saturday, Feb. 6 at 3:30

Hey! The Roller Derby is back in Fort Wayne! Should be a super fun, off-beat date night (if that’s your thing). Valentine’s Special: 2 tickets for $20.

YLNI Masquerade Ball

Saturday, Feb. 6 at 8p

Optional black tie, super fun. The theme is “Night at the Opera” and this YLNI celebration of the past year of regional partnership is something you don’t want to miss!

Social Media Workshop

Sunday, Feb. 7 at 1p – 3p

Wunderkammer Board Member Bridget O’Reilly will host an introductory Social Media Workshop primarily covering highly visual social media platforms like Instagram — learn how to make your pics ON POINT.

Remember, this isn’t all Fort Wayne has to offer. Check out our events calendar, and get out and have some fun this weekend! We can’t wait to see you around our city!
