This is by no means an exhaustive list, and if you don’t quite see what you’re looking for, check out our events calendar.

If you’d like to see your event featured in the Weekly Fun File, or added to our events calendar, let us know! Email us at info@livingfortwayne.com or you can go ahead and submit your event to our calendar!

1. The Trap Door at The B Side

Thursday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m.

The Trap Door features true stories told live in front of an audience. This time around, the show features stories from Rebecca Bell, John Cheesebrew, John Comorrato, Courtney Heiser, Kendra Johnson, and Dan Swartz.

2. Annual Halloween Show: Run Fast and DON’T Look Back!

Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. both nights

I think their teaser says it best: “Are there really ghosts floating down the hallways of North Side High School? Do the stairs at the old Byron Health Center really go on forever? Local choreographers have gathered some of the most chilling local tales of terror as creative source material for this years’ Halloween show. You may never drive by Devils Hollow, the historic Embassy Theatre, Bostwick Bridge or Chapman Road ever again.

This year’s haunting Halloween performance, Run Fast and DON’T Look Back, in collaboration with the Downtown Improvement District’s Fright Night, is sure to leave you looking over your shoulder all the way home. Come in costume, regular street clothes, or in your Sunday best, just don’t come ALONE!”

3. 2016 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Fort Wayne

Saturday, October 15 at 7 a.m.

This 5k brings awareness to and celebrates survivors of Breast Cancer. It’s non-competitive, so come out, enjoy the morning, and show your support!

4. Indoor Farmers Market

Saturday, October 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Never fear — Farmers markets happen all year round! They’ve transitioned indoors at Parkview Field. The Breast Cancer walk is happening at the same time, so you can stop by both.

5. Fright Night 2016

Saturday, October 15 — all day

YAY! Fright Night is here! This is my favorite day of the entire year. There’s a full day of fun, spooky activities for any age. Check out the site for the full schedule.

6. Fall Festival – Customer Appreciation Day

Saturday, October 15 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Maybe the spookiness of Fright Night isn’t for you. Fear not, there are also Fall Festivals to check out! Live music, fall sampling, pumpkin decorating for the kids — don’t miss it! My daughter already loves going to Fresh Thyme because she gets her own cart–this will send her over the top.

7. Feline Fall Festival

Saturday, October 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Help build outdoor shelters for cat communities around our city. There will be activities for the kiddos, too, and some food and drinks.

8. Allen County SPCA’s Growl at the Moon!

Saturday, October 15 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

It’s karaoke for a cause! This should be a fun night full of singing, laughter, and saving the lives of pets! You can read more about it in this blog.

9. Makers Market 2016

Saturday, October 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Check out some local artists and start your Christmas shopping a little early this year.

10. Celebrities Act Up! – Looney Tunes Live!

Saturday, October 15 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The Civic Theatre’s annual fundraiser is taking on Looney Tunes. The evening includes abundant appetizer buffet, complimentary bar, live & silent auctions, celebrity stage reading and dessert reception. It’s always a great night.
