Click on the event for more information about times, locations, cost, etc. 1. Rachel Von and Jeremy Stroup’s Art Opening Thursday, April 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Stop by for an evening of creativity and fun! 2. Entrepreneurs, Don’t Be Socially Awkward: A Social Media Talk Friday, April 14 at 12 p.m. In this talk, Anna Russett, Senior Social Strategist visiting from Havas Chicago and Fort Wayne native, will discuss why social should be at the core of your strategy with tips on how to build a strong social presence that highlights your brand’s services or products and speaks authentically to your target audience. 3. Hike The Trails of Fox Island Friday, April 14 at 1 p.m. Hike the trails of Fox Island with Naturalist Jeff Ormiston. It should be a beautiful spring day! 4. Slidin’ Into the Latest Trends: Where Social Media is Going Friday, April 14 at 5:30 p.m. Come hear Anna Russett, Senior Strategist with Havas Chicago and social influencer share emerging trends and innovations in social media. Learn where social media is going and how you can not only come along, but also lead the way. 5. Soirée Presents: Acoustic Showcase Saturday, April 15 ay 7:30 p.m. Hear some great music and BYOB. 6. Chalk it Up [workshop] Saturday, April 15 at 1 p.m. Learn how to chalk, write, and design a chalkboard at Saving Grace Vintage. 7. Deer Park’s Dyngus Day Party Monday, April 17 Celebrate with food, drinks, and music! 8. The Buzz about Bees Tuesday, April 18 at 9:30 a.m. A local beekeeper will teach your kiddos (age 3-5) about the importance of bees — stop by and you may learn a thing or two, too! 9. Meet Me At FWMoA Tuesday, April 18 at 2 p.m. “This monthly tour program is specially designed for individuals with an early-stage diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or other form of dementia. It’s Three Rivers time, everyone! Looking for fun things to do in Fort Wayne? Look no further! LFW compiles a list of ongoings and events that we’re excited about every week! Click on the event for more information about times, locations, cost, etc. 1. Kids Craft Day Friday, July 8, anytime during cafe hours Come in with your kiddos any time during the day and they get a free craft with your drink purchase! 2. Justin Lim Art Opening Friday, July 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Justin Lim, aka Old 5 and Dime Sign Company, will be featuring his newest artwork. Tacos Bravas will be doing a pop up, there will be music, drinks from CS3, and a giveaway! So much fun! 3. HAIR July 8, 9, 15, 16 at 8 p.m. and July 9, 10, 16, 17 at 2 p.m. This rock musical broke all kinds of new ground in theatre. Set in the 1960s, it tackles some tough topics, and the Three Rivers Music Theatre crew is putting on an awesome show (as previewed last week). Don’t miss it! 4. Summer Music Theatre’s Beauty and the Beast July 8 – July 17, times vary Who doesn’t love this classic? While “Hair” might be a bit mature for your kids, “Beauty and the Beast” is something the whole family can enjoy! 5. Three Rivers Festival July 8 – 16, times vary The parade, the chalk walk, the food, the fun! I could have filled this whole list with amazing things associated with Three Rivers. This is what summer is all about! 6. Ventures in Creativity Saturday, July 9 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Fort Wayne Artists Guild’s “Ventures in Creativity” reception is Saturday at the University of Saint Francis. It’s free, and the art will be amazing. The reception begins at 7 p.m., with the awards beginning at 8 p.m. 7. Historic Old Fort: Camp Allen Muster 1861-1865 Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Watch the soldiers complete their drills, speak with them and their families, and participate in fun activities throughout the day. 8. Daylily Flower Show Saturday, July 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy the daylily display at the Botanical Conservatory!
