Mark Your Calendars for Artlink’s Gallery Crawl!

For one evening, Artlink, a non-for-profit gallery dedicated to exhibiting diverse art and providing education for the community, is hosting its very first Pop-Up Art Gallery Crawl through downtown Fort Wayne. The event will feature local artists, musicians, and venues on Thursday, April 14 6-9 pm. Thanks to funding by The Downtown Improvement Project, this anticipated event will include a walking tour through downtown Fort Wayne where participants will see original work available for purchase in vacant businesses throughout the city. At each of these locations, music will be provided by hometown bands and singers. Food and a cash bar will also be available at every stop on the Art Crawl so participants can experience all the sights, tastes, and sounds of the city at this one-day event. In anticipation for the Pop-Up Gallery Crawl, Living Fort Wayne will release a series of articles about the featured artists participating in tour. Before the event in April, check out upcoming articles to learn more about individuals behind the artwork. Tickets for the April 14th Art Crawl are currently available for purchase online at www.artlinkfw/GalleryCrawl at $15 per person and $25 per couple. Email us at info@livingfortwayne.com 1. Works In Progress Night Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7p           The Philmore on Broadway is hosting an event centered around positive and innovative thinkers. Bring your work (even incomplete) to share with the group! Each artist will have a scheduled share time in which to perform and/or talk about their piece. Not an artist? That’s ok! Come anyway! Admission is FREE. 2. Down the Line Friday, Feb. 26 at 8p You can’t miss the original with its legendary classic-rock covers from rock-solid local bands! The successful Down the Line concert series celebrates 10 years of putting the best bands from Fort Wayne on the Embassy stage, it should be a fun night for everyone! 3. Murder Mystery Overnight Friday, Feb. 26 at 7:30         You get to spend the night at Science Central and try to solve a murder mystery, learning about science and forensics in the process. Who doesn’t think that sounds cool? This is a family friendly event — children 6 and up are welcome with an adult. 4. Young Frankenstein Friday, Feb. 26 at 8p             I saw this show last weekend. LOVED IT. I highly recommend going. The cast is wonderful, the songs are fun, the choreography is on point, and the story is everything you’d want it to be. It was also hilarious. 5. YLNI Winter Farmer’s Market Saturday, Feb. 27 at 9a                 Spring is almost here! In the meantime, grab some fresh and unique produce, meats, baked goods and homemade crafts in an urban setting. It’s perfect. 6. Fort Wayne Home and Garden Show Saturday and Sunday, all day.           Get your Spring Fever on while browsing the over 600 vendors participating in this year’s events. There will be exhibits giving you ideas for both outside and inside your home, as well as educational seminars throughout the weekend. 7. Cinema Center and the Oscars From Mars Saturday, Feb. 27 at 6p           Dress up, participate in live and silent auctions, Oscar trivia, music, food provided by Club Soda, beer and wine, and a FREE screening of the Oscar Nominated short films.
