Beet Street Juicery: A KickStarter Success Story

When I last checked in with Sherina Collier, we were all rooting for her and her KickStarter campaign for Beet Street Juicery. Everyone was spreading the news and hopeful about the possibilities. A couple of months later, it is safe to say that those possibilities are now becoming a reality. With a successful funding of her KickStarter campaign in August, the wheels are officially in motion. Sherina has signed a lease and is officially at work in her new downtown space at the West Berry Building. Located in the former home of Downtown Pizza, she has big plans for the space and has been spending her days gutting the current decor for a fresh environment for her business. Beet Street Juicery will be located at 534 W. Berry Street and has an official open date sometime during October. Their hours will be Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. If you are wondering what all of the buzz around Beet Street is about, it comes down to Sherina’s quest for bringing healthy, nutritional options to Fort Wayne in honor of her late father. After his death, she was determined to make a difference in the lives of others. She began researching how to offer the public affordable food and drink options without compromising a delicious taste. The results can be found in Beet Street Juicery. Her plans include using organic based fruits and vegetables, local vendors, and using the hydraulic cold-press method to extract more juice while keeping vital micronutrients and enzymes intact. This will only add one more great addition to a downtown scene that is starting to truly expand with options and reasons to enjoy the streets. If you want to find out more about Beet Street Juice, please connect with them on Facebook and help support their journey. Their grand opening will be here before we know...
