Looking for fun things to do in Fort Wayne? Look no further! LFW compiles a list of ongoings and events that we’re excited about every week! This is by no means an exhaustive list, and if you don’t quite see what you’re looking for, check out our events calendar. Click on the event for more information about times, locations, cost, etc. 1. YLNI Hot Spot Thursday, July 21 at 5:30 Make some friends at Pedal City! 2. Let’s Comedy! Presents: Follow Friday 5: Meltdown in Downtown July 22 at 8 p.m. A night of fun with a variety of funny folks! 3. Java Mama Open House Saturday, July 23 at 11 a.m. Do crafts, have fun with legos, and get the kiddo’s face painted! There will be live acoustic music featuring Jen Fisher, Pop n Fresh, Plumdingo and Sarah Brown. And it’s all free! I love Java Mama, come check out this wonderful place! 4. Pokemon GO! Neighborhood Tours Saturday, July 23 at 4 p.m. Tour all the PokeStops in the area and learn some neat tips and tricks for this game that’s taking the world by storm. 5. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Saturday, July 23 through August 7, times vary This will be an amazing show! Don’t miss it! 6. Fort Wayne Pride July 22 and 23, Time varies There will be a variety of activities throughout the weekend, including the Pride March! 7. K105 Countryfest Saturday, July 23 at 1 p.m. Lee Brice, Jon Pardi, Clare Dunn, Drew Baldridge, LANco and Jordan Rager, should be a fun time! 8. Sweets So Geek Free Outdoor Movie: Labyrinth Saturday, July 23 at 8 p.m. Also a David Bowie appreciation night (that’s reason enough to go, right there). Vietnummy will be there and the charity for the evening is SCAN. Don’t miss it! 9. 98.9 The Bear’s Birthday Bash Sunday, July 24 at 3:30 p.m. Featuring Shinedown, Halestorm, Red Sun Rising and Devour the Day. 10. Allen County Fair July 26-31, times vary It’s fair time! Happy first day of Summer! With Summer being here, festival season is now in full swing. Summer in Fort Wayne is the best time of year to visit these festivals and get your fill of food and fun! After a successful couple weeks with Germanfest and Ribfest, here are some other festivals to look forward to this season! Greekfest Come enjoy a large selection of Greek food, dancing, and other fun activities. If there is one thing that Greekfest does best is provide excellent hospitality. Come for the food, stay because you won’t be able to move after your meal. Opa! When: Thursday, June 23 to Sunday, June 26, 2016 Where: Headwaters Park Cost: Thursday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and all day Sunday is FREE, Thursday-Saturday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. is $4. Attendees over 65 can get in for $3 and under 16 are admitted FREE.   Riverpalooza 2016   Home to the Dragon Boat Races! This festival will include boat rides, entertainment, and other activities to enjoy right before you hit Buskerfest! When: Saturday, June 25, 2016 Time: 8 a.m. Where: Headwaters Park West Cost: FREE   Buskerfest Enjoy a large selection of musicians, fire dancers, stilt walkers, and so much more! I love this festival for the unexpected talent it attracts to the Fort Wayne area. More information and schedule of performances  are posted here. When: Saturday, June 25, 2016 Time: 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Where: Corner of Calhoun St. and Wayne St. Cost: FREE   Three Rivers Festival Everyone’s favorite festival is back for their 48th year! Big rides, live performances, arts and crafts, and, not to mention, Junk Food Alley! Don’t forget Fort Wayne’s biggest parade on Saturday, July 16th! When: Friday, July 8 to Saturday, July 16, 2016 Where: Headwaters Park Cost: FREE Fort Wayne Pride This year’s Pride will include a beer tent, talent from local performers, multiple vendors, KidSpace, and so much more. This is your opportunity to celebrate with over 15,000 LGBT and allies! DEV will also be highlighting the main stage on that Friday. Don’t forget the Pride March on Saturday, July 23rd at 11:15 a.m.! When: Friday, July 22 to Saturday, July 23, 2016 Time: Friday 7:15 p.m. to 12 am. Saturday 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. Where: Headwaters Park Cost: $5 (under 12 is FREE)   BAALS Music Festival It’s back to the block!
