Click on the event for more information about times, locations, cost, etc. 2nd Thursday: Glassblowing Demonstration Thursday, July 13 at 5 p.m. Fort Wayne glass artist Eran Park will demonstrate the techniques of glassblowing. Such a cool thing to watch! Shark Awareness Day Friday, July 14 at 10 a.m. Man people love sharks! Spend a day learning about some of the coolest creatures in the sea. Cyber Safety Saturday, July 15 at 11 a.m. This free workshop helps kids and parents stay safe online. The Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is supporting the program, and it’s definitely something worth learning about. Shop Local at The Deck Saturday, July 15 at 1 p.m. Fabulous food + local business + awesome location = happiness. Brew Review Saturday, July 15 at 1 p.m. It’s the Fourth Annual Brew Review at Three Rivers! Taste some beer, enjoy food and some music! Game of Thrones Trivia Saturday, July 15 at 9 p.m. Are you on top of your Game of Thrones trivia? Find out at Trubble this week. Cause for Paws Monday, July 17 at 6 p.m. This wonderful yoga event benefits the Allen County SPCA. It’s a great time full of great people. The Tempest by William Shakespeare Sunday, July 16 at 2 p.m. The final performance by Pheonix Productions/Shakespeare from the Heart. Don’t miss seeing “The Tempest” at Franke Park for free! Summer Nights: Us Together Wednesday, July 19 at 5 p.m. As part of the Summer Nights at the Embassy, Members of Leadership Fort Wayne will moderate a discussion on topics of community and diversity. Three Rivers Festival July 7 – July 15 It’s that time again! Get out and explore the festival this week. There’s plenty to do, including the first event by Fort Wayne HeART of the City. Chalk Walk 2017 Saturday and Sunday, July 8 and 9 Stop by the chalk walk and appreciate the talent Fort Wayne has to offer. This is always one of my favorite parts of the festival. FWCS Car & Bike Show Saturday, July 8 at 4 p.m. There will be food, drinks, music, and prizes! All proceeds go to Blessings in a Backpack. Check out some cool cars and support a great cause. Rock the Plaza – July 8 Saturday, July 8 at 6 p.m. This week’s lineup: Gregg Bender Band, elle/The Remnant, Sunny Taylor Band, and My Apollo Day in Allen County 2017 Saturday, July 8 Take a picture of anything in Allen County and use the hashtag #DayInAllenCo2017 to be entered to win an exclusive tour of the Main Library. Don’t miss your chance for a behind-the-scenes look! Singer Songwriter Showcase Saturday, July 8 at 8 p.m. Great food and new acts! The Mersey Beatles at C2G Music Hall, Fort Wayne, Indiana Friday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. We love the Mersey Beatles. It’s a show you definitely don’t want to miss! NAMI Fort Wayne 5K Run & Walk Saturday, May 6 at 8:30 a.m. The National Alliance on Mental Illness is hosting a 5K run/walk to support mental health services. There’s something for all ages, join them in breaking the stigma and making sure people get the support they need. It’s Been A Magical Year! Saturday, May 6 at 11 a.m. The Narwhal and the Manatee has been in business for an entire YEAR! Celebrate with them and leave with some goodies, too. Grand Opening Party — Masters Hand BBQ Saturday, May 6 at 11 a.m. Do you like BBQ sauce? Stop by their grand opening and give them a try! Melinda Howe’s Snow White Saturday, May 6 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Enjoy the New American Youth Ballet’s rendition of Snow White this weekend, and bring your kiddos! Cinderella’s Ball Sunday, May 7 from 3 p.m. to 6 p..m. The annual princess tea party is here! This fundraiser supports Destiny Rescue, a non-profit dedicated to protecting children from human trafficking and exploitation. It’s a great event for a great cause, and your kids will have SO MUCH fun. Cherry Blossom Festival Fort Wayne, Indiana Sunday, May 7 at 12 p.m. It’s the 11th year for this fun festival. Fort Wayne TinCaps Opening Day Saturday, April 8 at 6:00 p.m. It’s opening day! Summer is on its way! I haven’t done any shopping, true story. You can bet I will be visiting this last minute pop-up. It supports local small businesses. Stop by and check it out! 3. It’s a Wonderful Life Celebration Friday, December 23 from 6:30 pm to 10 pm My dad’s all-time favorite movie is “It’s a Wonderful Life” and we watch it every Christmas. It will be so fun to pay homage to the 70th anniversary of this special film at the Cinema Center! There will be free hot cocoa and a cash bar, and you can bring winter gear to donate … what could be better? 4. 2nd Annual Festivus Celebration Friday December 23 beginning at 4 pm Air your grievances. Wear festive outfits. Stein-Hoisting competition. It’s a fun way to begin the weekend! 5. Smoke and Mirrors LAST SHOW, Pink Balloon Band, and Dear Darla Friday, December 23 at 8 pm It’s Smoke and Mirror’s last show, and they’re playing with Pink Balloon Band and Dear Darla. It should be a great time. 6. Luau Week December 26 through December 30 So much fun is happening at Crazy Pinz this week! The kiddos are on Christmas break, take them for some fun, and have some fun yourself!
