Click on the event for more information about times, locations, cost, etc. 1. Rachel Von and Jeremy Stroup’s Art Opening Thursday, April 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Stop by for an evening of creativity and fun! 2. Entrepreneurs, Don’t Be Socially Awkward: A Social Media Talk Friday, April 14 at 12 p.m. In this talk, Anna Russett, Senior Social Strategist visiting from Havas Chicago and Fort Wayne native, will discuss why social should be at the core of your strategy with tips on how to build a strong social presence that highlights your brand’s services or products and speaks authentically to your target audience. 3. Hike The Trails of Fox Island Friday, April 14 at 1 p.m. Hike the trails of Fox Island with Naturalist Jeff Ormiston. It should be a beautiful spring day! 4. Slidin’ Into the Latest Trends: Where Social Media is Going Friday, April 14 at 5:30 p.m. Come hear Anna Russett, Senior Strategist with Havas Chicago and social influencer share emerging trends and innovations in social media. Learn where social media is going and how you can not only come along, but also lead the way. 5. Soirée Presents: Acoustic Showcase Saturday, April 15 ay 7:30 p.m. Hear some great music and BYOB. 6. Chalk it Up [workshop] Saturday, April 15 at 1 p.m. Learn how to chalk, write, and design a chalkboard at Saving Grace Vintage. 7. Deer Park’s Dyngus Day Party Monday, April 17 Celebrate with food, drinks, and music! 8. The Buzz about Bees Tuesday, April 18 at 9:30 a.m. A local beekeeper will teach your kiddos (age 3-5) about the importance of bees — stop by and you may learn a thing or two, too! 9. Meet Me At FWMoA Tuesday, April 18 at 2 p.m. “This monthly tour program is specially designed for individuals with an early-stage diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or other form of dementia. Stop by for a good time! 2. Fort Wayne Fringe Festival Thursday, August 4 through Sunday, August 7 Fort Wayne celebrates cutting edge artists! There’s a full schedule on the event page, check it out! 3. Bark N Brew  Thursday, August 4 at 6:30 p.m. Perfect Paws Pet Rescue will be at Trubble to answer questions about their adoption program. If you love dogs and love brew, stop by! 4. JA Wine and Beer Festival Friday, August 5 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Different wineries and breweries will be coming together for a tasting at Parkview Field to benefit Junior Achievement. There will also be a silent auction! 5. Summer Party Friday, August 5 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Food, friends and music at Fort Wayne Museum of Art! Music by Metavari with appetizers and cash bar by CS3. 6. Food N Film Friday, August 5 at 5 p.m. Vietnummy and Bravas food trucks will be at Cinema Center for another screening of “Hunt for the Wilderpeople.” 7. Smith Field Vintage Airplane Rides Saturday, August 6 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority partnered with Nostalgic Flights and Waldo Wright’s Flying Service so that you can take a flight in a 1929, 4-place-open-cockpit biplane or a 1943 warbird. Don’t miss this great (and unique) opportunity! 8. Brew Haven Saturday, August 6 at 2 p.m. It’s a craft beer festival on Main Street in New Haven. That’s the only explanation it needs, really. 9. Jim Gaffigan “Fully Dressed” Tour Tuesday, August 9 at 8 p.m. Jim Gaffigan is coming to Fort Wayne! Tickets are still available; get yours while you can. It will be a fun time! 10. August Walkable Wednesday: Back to School Wednesday, August 10 at 5 p.m. Walk or bike the North Anthony Corridor where local businesses are offering store specials and discounts. Spring is such a fun time! Here’s a quick peek at some of the things we are looking forward to this weekend in Fort Wayne! Purple Rain — Free Screening Thursday, April 27 at 8:30 pm           Cinema Center is hosting a free screening of “Purple Rain” to honor Prince. Come out and see the show and remember a musical legend! 2. YLNI Financial Happy Hour Thursday, April 28 at 6 pm             Meet at 816 Pint & Slice to learn how you can gain financial freedom. Pizza and first round of drinks are free! Check it out! 3. Stand Against Racism Thursday, April 28 at 5:30 pm         The YWCA and Wunderkammer Company are teaming up to bring community members together to express how they feel about racism through art. Should be a beautiful time. 4. Mom’s Night Out Thursday, April 28 at 5:30 pm         Fun and shopping at Cerutis! Appetizers and entertainment (along with a tote) are included in the ticket price. 5. Early Art Exploration Saturday, April 30 at 10 am           I love these! Bring your little ones for a fun morning of creating art. 6. Avenue Q Friday, April 29 and May 6 at 8 pm Saturday, April 30 and May 7 at 8 pm Sunday, May 1 at 2 pm                 Twenty-somethings trying to make it through life, as told by puppets. This show is hilarious. Don’t let the puppets throw you off, though. It’s not for kids. 7. Jane Eyre Friday, April 29 and May 6 at 7:30 Saturday, April 30 and May 7 at 7:30 Sunday, May 1 and May 8 at 2:30         All for One is putting on an original adaptation of the classic, Jane Eyre. Celebrate Charlotte Bronte’s 200th birthday year by seeing this wonderful production! 8. Last Saturday Saturday, April 30           $1 admission to the Fort Wayne Museum of Art!
