Summer in Fort Wayne means every weekend Headwaters Park is packed with great festivals and entertainment. Looking for fun things to do in Fort Wayne? Look no further! LFW compiles a list of ongoings and events that we’re excited about every week! This is by no means an exhaustive list, and if you don’t quite see what you’re looking for, check out our events calendar. If you’d like to see your event featured in the Weekly Fun File, or added to our events calendar, let us know! Click on the event for more information about times, locations, cost, etc. 1. Greekfest Thursday, June 23 through Sat, June 25 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday, June 26 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.   It’s the 36th Greek Festival! There’s Greek cuisine and entertainment including live music and dancing. It’s fun for everyone!   2. Sweets So Geek Free Outdoor Movie Friday, June 24 at 8 p.m. This night’s feature is “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade!” There will be a costume contest, pizza and prizes! The kiddos (and adults, too) can talk to an actual archeologist and this month’s charity is Salvation Army. 3. BuskerFest Saturday, June 25 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.     I love BuskerFest. Street performers are so fun! 4. ARCH’s North Anthony Historic Home and Garden Tour Saturday, June 25 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Explore the beautiful historic homes on Kensington and North Anthony Boulevards. This tour will have 13 stops. I absolutely adore this part of Fort Wayne, it really is unique, be sure to check it out if you can! 5. Covington Art Fair Saturday, June 25 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, June 26 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s Northeast Indiana’s largest art fair! Go see what it’s all about! 6. Living Fort Wayne Film Series Saturday, June 25 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Need something amazing to do after BuskerFest? Join us for our film series! We’re watching “A League of their Own.” There will be food available to purchase and the film is free, just bring your own seat. 7. The Voices of Unity Youth Choir 2016 European Tour Send-Off Concert Saturday, June 25 at 6 p.m.   Support the talented kiddos going to Europe! The donation concert is $5 for a great cause. 8. Fort Wayne Adventure Games Saturday, June 25 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. It’s a city-wide bike race with checkpoints and obstacles. What?! So fun! 9. Trubble Brewing Grand Re-Openeing: Beer and Band Bash Saturday, June 25 from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. Trubble is celebrating the (long awaited) launch of their beer! Happy first day of Summer! With Summer being here, festival season is now in full swing. Summer in Fort Wayne is the best time of year to visit these festivals and get your fill of food and fun! After a successful couple weeks with Germanfest and Ribfest, here are some other festivals to look forward to this season! Greekfest Come enjoy a large selection of Greek food, dancing, and other fun activities. If there is one thing that Greekfest does best is provide excellent hospitality. Come for the food, stay because you won’t be able to move after your meal. Opa! When: Thursday, June 23 to Sunday, June 26, 2016 Where: Headwaters Park Cost: Thursday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and all day Sunday is FREE, Thursday-Saturday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. is $4. Attendees over 65 can get in for $3 and under 16 are admitted FREE.   Riverpalooza 2016   Home to the Dragon Boat Races! This festival will include boat rides, entertainment, and other activities to enjoy right before you hit Buskerfest! When: Saturday, June 25, 2016 Time: 8 a.m. Where: Headwaters Park West Cost: FREE   Buskerfest Enjoy a large selection of musicians, fire dancers, stilt walkers, and so much more! I love this festival for the unexpected talent it attracts to the Fort Wayne area. More information and schedule of performances  are posted here. When: Saturday, June 25, 2016 Time: 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Where: Corner of Calhoun St. and Wayne St. Cost: FREE   Three Rivers Festival Everyone’s favorite festival is back for their 48th year! Big rides, live performances, arts and crafts, and, not to mention, Junk Food Alley! Don’t forget Fort Wayne’s biggest parade on Saturday, July 16th! When: Friday, July 8 to Saturday, July 16, 2016 Where: Headwaters Park Cost: FREE Fort Wayne Pride This year’s Pride will include a beer tent, talent from local performers, multiple vendors, KidSpace, and so much more. This is your opportunity to celebrate with over 15,000 LGBT and allies! DEV will also be highlighting the main stage on that Friday. Don’t forget the Pride March on Saturday, July 23rd at 11:15 a.m.! When: Friday, July 22 to Saturday, July 23, 2016 Time: Friday 7:15 p.m. to 12 am.
