Sci-Fi Central returns with new experiences this October

Experience something new at Sci-Fi Central on Oct. 6! We are adding some new things to our annual science fiction and pop culture mini-convention this year, like a cosplay contest, new vendors and more! Join the cosplay contest to show off your costuming and makeup skills! The first place finisher in the contest will win a gift package of fun prizes, with second and third place finishers getting special recognition at the event. All cosplays must be family-friendly and follow all the rules & regulations. The deadline to pre-register is Sept. 30, and participants may register the day of the event if space is available. Bravas, Kona Ice, Ivy Tech’s Grasshopper, and Whip & Chill food trucks will be open in the Science Central parking lot for the event. There will also be other local merchandise vendors throughout the building with comics, collectibles, and more for sale! Do you and a group have a special presentation on a science fiction or pop culture topic? We want to invite you to be one of our panel discussions this year! Space is limited, but registrations are still open. Of course, our favorites are also returning this year The Midwest R2 Builder’s Club, Dagorhir, Harry Potter activities, Virtual Reality, and 501st Legion are all back for another great event! Sci-Fi Central is $9 for ages 3 and up, free for children 2 and under and Science Central Members. Tickets are available online for purchase in...
