Fall is here. Excuse the excessive amount of fall-themed activities in this fun file. We can’t get enough fall family fun! Looking for fun things to do in Fort Wayne? Look no further! LFW compiles a list of ongoings and events that we’re excited about every week! This is by no means an exhaustive list, and if you don’t quite see what you’re looking for, check out our events calendar. Click on the event for more information about times, locations, cost, etc. 1. Samaritan Live Thursday, September 22 at 7 p.m. You can ask the crew members questions from the comfort of your own home! Join Parkview for this Facebook Live event! 2. Fall Harvest Festival  Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Celebrate the history of the American farm! This is a great event for all ages, and it’s free! 3. Curiosity Day! Saturday, September 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Celebrate Curious George turning 75! Face painting, crafts, snacks and stories will make for a great Saturday for your kiddo! 4. Diaper Dash 5K Run/Walk Saturday, September 24th from 7:30 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. It’s an inaugural event for Healthier Moms and Babies! Read more about it in this Living Fort Wayne article. 5. Art House Theater Day – Cinema Center Saturday, September 24 at 10 a.m. Celebrate the independent theatre. Almost all screenings (there are a couple exceptions) will be presented at member pricing. There will be giveaways, drink specials, and more! 6. Hop On Saturday, September 24 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Take a tour of some of Fort Wayne’s best breweries! Transportation is provided with the ticket price! You can see more details in Living Fort Wayne’s recent article. 7. Harambee Fort Wayne – A Benefit for Come Unity Saturday, September 24 from 7 p.m to 10 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Come Unity‘s clean water, education and sustainability programs in East Africa. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, music and more! You can purchase tickets online until Friday, and you can also purchase tickets at the door. 8. LFW Film Series – The Book of Life Saturday, September 24 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. This is the last film of the season! Join us at the Allen County Public Library (downtown) to see “The Book of Life!” 9. Electric Fall Saturday, September 24 at 7 p.m. Oh, Electric Fall. Celebrate women’s right to vote with the YWCA Northeast Indiana this year! They’re going to teach you everything you need to know about hitting those polls! 2. Equal Means Equal Screening Friday, August 26 at 7 p.m. Equal Means Equal looks at how women are treated in the U.S. today. My guess (spoiler alert): It’s not actually equal. 3. LFW Film Series — It Happened One Night Friday, August 26 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Free movie, fun activities, and food available for purchase! 4. 2016 Botanical Roots Concert Series: John Primer (Blues) Friday, August 26 from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Stop by and enjoy the live music, and purchase a drink or two from Mad Anthony Brewing while you’re there. Don’t miss a more in-depth summary of the event here. 5. 1st Annual Fort Wayne Fitness Fest at Headwaters Park With Celebrity Tony Little! Saturday, August 27 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. This festival has anything you could want or think of. Food, drinks, raffles, experts, education … literally, anything you could want. 6. 2016 Taste of the Arts Saturday, August 27 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. I love Taste of the Arts! There will be live performances, food and art available for purchase (or to just sit back, and enjoy). Check out a closer look here. 7. Cocktails & Sweet Deals Garden Party Saturday, August 27 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mercantile on Main is celebrating. There will be food trucks, wine from Wine Down and live music. Oh, and did I mention 15% off the entire store?! 8. Brickworld Fort Wayne LEGO Exposition Saturday, August 27  from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Legos! The B-Side Presents: Slow Dakota Thursday, July 28 from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. It’s The B-Side’s first film screening, and Slow Dakota’s first concert in Fort Wayne! Tickets are $8, there will be a cash bar by Birdboy Brewing Co., and it should be a really great night! 2. Setting Sun Ladies Run Thursday, July 28 at 8:30 p.m. It’s a 4-mile run down the Rivergreenway, food, drinks, and a raffle, brought to you by NeighborLink Fort Wayne and Three Rivers Running Company. Check in begins at 7:45 p.m. 3. Fort Wayne Food and Brew Saturday, July 30 from 11 a.m. to Midnight It’s the first annual Fort Wayne Food and Brew! There will be great food from local vendors, drinks, and music. There’s also a kids corner, so this can be a family event! Check it out! 4. Out of a Jam Launch Party Saturday, July 30 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Out of a Jam does great things for women who’ve gone through struggles in their lives. Come to their opening at City Exchange shops to hear more about their mission, and support their wonderful cause! Also, their jam is delicious. 5. Downtown Mural Fundraiser Saturday, July 30 from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. Fort Wayne Art Collective is hosting a fundraiser to help bring a new public mural downtown! A scavenger hunt and an afterparty featuring great musicians sounds like a fun way to spend a Saturday, right? 6. LFW Film Series — Never Ending Story Saturday, July 30 from 8 p.m. to 11 .m. Come out for this free film and family fun! 7. Harry Potter Release Party Saturday, July 30 from 8 p.m. to Midnight Countdown to Midnight! That’s right, folks! Harry Potter is back!
