Enjoy food trucks and more! Celebrate Immigrants in Fort Wayne Thursday, April 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Listen to a great panel and celebrate all the immigrants who make our community great. Progressive Social Hour is partnering with Universal Education Foundation for this free event. Not to mention, there will be specialty appetizers from around the world. The Taming of the Shrew Thursday, April 27 to Sunday, May 7, times vary Get your dose of Shakespeare with this great show! Medication Disposal Day Friday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It’s time for spring cleaning! Help keep our families and community safe by properly disposing of your medications. Shoot for a Cure Walk For A Cause 3 Mile Walk Friday, April 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. A wonderful 3 mile walk (family friendly!). The proceeds go to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. Stand Against Racism Friday, April 28 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Raising awareness to combat institutional racism. A Wrinkle in Time A staple young adult book comes to life with some super talented local folks. Don’t miss it! Touch-a-Truck 2017 Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Take your kiddos to explore some super cool vehicles! What a fun Saturday morning! He Named Me Malala: Screening and Discussion Sunday, April 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This documentary is a part of this year’s “Stand Against Racism” campaign. The YWCA will lead a discussion following the film. Friendly Fox Fundraiser/Silent Auction Sunday, April 30 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Do you want an outdoor revamp at the Friendly Fox? Spring is such a fun time! Here’s a quick peek at some of the things we are looking forward to this weekend in Fort Wayne! Purple Rain — Free Screening Thursday, April 27 at 8:30 pm           Cinema Center is hosting a free screening of “Purple Rain” to honor Prince. Come out and see the show and remember a musical legend! 2. YLNI Financial Happy Hour Thursday, April 28 at 6 pm             Meet at 816 Pint & Slice to learn how you can gain financial freedom. Pizza and first round of drinks are free! Check it out! 3. Stand Against Racism Thursday, April 28 at 5:30 pm         The YWCA and Wunderkammer Company are teaming up to bring community members together to express how they feel about racism through art. Should be a beautiful time. 4. Mom’s Night Out Thursday, April 28 at 5:30 pm         Fun and shopping at Cerutis! Appetizers and entertainment (along with a tote) are included in the ticket price. 5. Early Art Exploration Saturday, April 30 at 10 am           I love these! Bring your little ones for a fun morning of creating art. 6. Avenue Q Friday, April 29 and May 6 at 8 pm Saturday, April 30 and May 7 at 8 pm Sunday, May 1 at 2 pm                 Twenty-somethings trying to make it through life, as told by puppets. This show is hilarious. Don’t let the puppets throw you off, though. It’s not for kids. 7. Jane Eyre Friday, April 29 and May 6 at 7:30 Saturday, April 30 and May 7 at 7:30 Sunday, May 1 and May 8 at 2:30         All for One is putting on an original adaptation of the classic, Jane Eyre. Celebrate Charlotte Bronte’s 200th birthday year by seeing this wonderful production! 8. Last Saturday Saturday, April 30           $1 admission to the Fort Wayne Museum of Art!
