Middle Waves Annonces Full Lineup

The remainder of the 2018 Middle Waves Music Festival lineup has been announced, to include national acts Joywave and Hatchie. Presented by Sweetwater, Middle Waves is a destination music festival boasting an eclectic mix of 25+ performers on three stages, two of which are free. With food trucks, beverages, music, interactive art installations, events, fun and games around every corner—people of all ages, all backgrounds and all music preferences are bound to have the time of their lives. In addition to the national acts announced in May, which include headliners Dr. Dog, GoldLink, Lizzo and Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks, Middle Waves adds Rochester, NY based indie rock band Joywave and New York, NY based post punk band BODEGA on Friday evening. Saturday adds dream-pop Australian performer Hatchie. Additional local performers include Anna Faye, Sad Gravity, Streetlamps for Spotlights, Slug Love, Samuel Harness and Fort Wayne Funk Orchestra. A ticket is required for entry into St. Marys Stage. Maumee Stage and St. Joseph Stage are free to the public. Tickets can be purchased online at MiddleWaves.com. Two-day GA passes are available for $85 and two-day VVIP passes are available for $165. Single-day Friday tickets are available for $35. Single-day Saturday tickets are available for $65. Living Fort Wayne Concert Series

The Living Fort Wayne Concert Series returns to Headwaters Park on Wednesday, June 27 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Enjoy the music of Unlikely Alibi (organ and guitar driven power pop with a twist of reggae, ska and soul) and HazenSol (a fusion of classic and modern rock guitar riffs, a driving powerful bass line, a jazz drummer and powerful thought inducing lyrics.) Arrive early and sign up for the fantastic giveaways including one pair of Cubs tickets and a family four-pack of Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo tickets. Winners must be present to claim a prize. If you haven’t attended the Living Fort Wayne Concert Series yet, this is a relaxing getaway in the middle of the week. Volunteer opportunities are also now available and listed on the website. The festival will be headlined by indie rock band, Dr. Dog. (Or, if you can’t join the pub run, just go to the Tincaps game for Thirsty Thursday.) 2. Freedom on Main: An All American Celebration Thursday, June 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Freedom-inspired fun! There will be face painting, activities, and a performance by Heartland Sings (also Joseph Decuis barbecue … yum!). 3. HAIR In Concert Friday, July 1 at 8 p.m. It’s a free performance of numbers from the upcoming production of “Hair,” you don’t want to miss it! 4. Leo-Cedarville Freedom Festival Saturday, July 2 at 7 p.m. Food, activities, music from Mason-Dixon Line, and fireworks! 5. Broadway Street Stroll Sunday, July 3 at 1 p.m. Broadway is the place to be! The street stroll will showcase art, shops, venues, and eats that have made a home on Broadway. 6. Fort Wayne Philharmonic: Patriotic Pops Sunday, July 3 at 8:30 p.m. The Phil is holding their annual “Patriotic Pops” on Parkview Field this Sunday. Stop by for some great music and fireworks! 7. 4 on the 4th Monday, July 4 at 8 a.m. Before you spend the rest of your day  cooking out and snacking during fireworks, start out with a run! 8. Fourth of July Fireworks Monday, July 4 at 10 p.m. The fireworks are downtown again this year! There’s a Tincaps game with a great view of the fireworks after, or you can head downtown and find a spot to watch the show! 9. YLNI Living Fort Wayne Concert Series Wednesday, July 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Our free concert series is happening again this coming Wednesday!
