BikeFusion Friday, May 5 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Food, beer and bikes. Kick off the season with some fun! The Mersey Beatles at C2G Music Hall, Fort Wayne, Indiana Friday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. We love the Mersey Beatles. It’s a show you definitely don’t want to miss! For details on last years performance, check out this post. NAMI Fort Wayne 5K Run & Walk Saturday, May 6 at 8:30 a.m. The National Alliance on Mental Illness is hosting a 5K run/walk to support mental health services. There’s something for all ages, join them in breaking the stigma and making sure people get the support they need. It’s Been A Magical Year! Saturday, May 6 at 11 a.m. The Narwhal and the Manatee has been in business for an entire YEAR! Celebrate with them and leave with some goodies, too. Grand Opening Party — Masters Hand BBQ Saturday, May 6 at 11 a.m. Do you like BBQ sauce? Stop by their grand opening and give them a try! Melinda Howe’s Snow White Saturday, May 6 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Enjoy the New American Youth Ballet’s rendition of Snow White this weekend, and bring your kiddos! Cinderella’s Ball Sunday, May 7 from 3 p.m. to 6 p..m. The annual princess tea party is here! This fundraiser supports Destiny Rescue, a non-profit dedicated to protecting children from human trafficking and exploitation. It’s a great event for a great cause, and your kids will have SO MUCH fun. Cherry Blossom Festival Fort Wayne, Indiana Sunday, May 7 at 12 p.m. It’s the 11th year for this fun festival. Learn all about Japanese culture this weekend. Fort Wayne Music Festival Wednesday, May 10 through May 14 Sweetwater’s hosting another music festival this year! Click on the event for more information about times, locations, cost, etc. 1. October Hot Spot Thursday, October 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. It’s that time again! Come out and mingle with fellow professionals while enjoying some great food and drink! 2. Atrium Open House Thursday, October 20 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. We have been waiting for this! Food and drinks, tours, and speeches from some of the brightest people in our community. Learn about the value the Atrium is providing! 3. Rocky Horror Picture Show Viewing Party Thursday, October 20 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Trivia, Prizes, and the show you can’t skip during Halloween season. 4. The Mersey Beatles This band is awesome. Also, meet John Lennon’s sister! 5. Halloween Pet Parade Saturday, October 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ahhhh! Pets in costumes for a great cause! 6. 17th Annual River City Rat Race Saturday, October 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There’s a 10K and a 5K, it’s family-friendly, a scenic route, and all proceeds benefit the YMCA.   7. Monster Dash 5k Fun Run/Walk Saturday, October 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. I’m not a runner, but this event is so fun! You can walk if you like, costumes are encouraged, and there are prizes! 8. Free Outdoor Movie: Young Frankenstein Saturday, October 22 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. It’s the last free outdoor movie night of the season! Big Apple Pizza, Licensed Bar Services, Time & Space Photo Booths, and more will be there! 9. Pumpkin Patch Party Tuesday, October 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is a great time for the whole family. Grab some Gouda Dip and meet some new friends! 2. Middle Waves Pre-Party & Poster Show Thursday, September 15 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Want to see some killer designs from local, regional, and national artists? Stop by the Poster Show! There will be music (of course) and free food and a cash bar sponsored by Calhoun Street Soups, Salads and Spirits! 3. Middle Waves Music Festival Friday and Saturday, September 16 and 17 It’s here! A couple dozen musical performances by national and local musicians, local food trucks and vendors, drinks, and lots of fun! You can check out the Middle Waves Pop Up Workshop while your there or do some Yoga at Middle Waves. It’s a weekend of good times! 4. Freud’s Last Session Septemer 16 through September 25 Friday/Saturday Curtain 7:30 PM Sunday Matinee Curtain 2:30 PM An intellectual show, it places Sigmund Freud and C.S. Lewis in a room together. “The conversation and debate sparkles with wit, articulate argument, and some pathos—as well as with surprising civility.” It should captivate audiences! 5. JOHNNY APPLESEED Yay! Yay! Johnny Appleseed! Food, fun, crafts, and more! I feel like it doesn’t even need explaining. 6. Muddy Trail Run & Adventure Walk Saturday, September 17 at 8 a.m. This is all about fun! There’s a mud pit, hay bale climb, river run, and sand dune climb, all spaced out on a 5K course. It’s basically a tough mudder that you can do with your kids! 7. Pits in the Park 2016 Saturday, September 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s a pup-filled, fantastic time! There will be food and vendors, a costume contest for your pets, and more! Go out and support this great cause. 8. Strides Of Hope Saturday, September 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. It’s the annual walkathon for A Hope Center.
