Find out who the murderer is! There will be food and drinks available for purchase. Such a fun, off-beat date night idea! 2. 97.3 WMEE Baby Fair & Family Expo Saturday, February 11 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Products, prizes and babies! There will also be activities available for the whole family! 3. 2017 Weather the Fort Saturday, February 11 at 4 p.m. This annual winter festival is a 21+ event. Enjoy food, drinks and fun! 4. Galentine’s Day Brunch at Trubble Saturday, February 11 at 11 a.m. Regular menu (already delicious) plus waffles (yum) and girly drinks. 5. Heartland Sings: Let’s Fall in Love Saturday, February 11 at 7:30 p.m. Romantic ballads and upbeat love songs at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. Complimentary champagne will be served! 6. Turnstone Mile Saturday, February 11 at 7 a.m. Whether it’s your first mile of your life, of your season, or of a new beginning … run it on Saturday with Turnstone! This is for all ages and all abilities. 7. Fort Wayne Polar Plunge Saturday, February 11 at 10 a.m. All funds raised benefit the Special Olympics Indiana. Don’t miss your chance to jump in a cold lake to benefit a great cause. 8. Fairytale Brunch Sunday, February 12 at 12 p.m. Princesses will make an appearance. There will be singing and face painting. This would be a wonderful Valentine’s day date with your little princess lover. 9. Family Valentines Day Singalong Sunday, February 12 at 3 p.m. Grab pizza with the kids and let them sing while you relax. Bring a kid, an instrument, and an appetite. 10. Educational Series: History of Our Rivers Monday, February 13 at 6:30 p.m. The next in this free educational series, the topic will be the History of Our Rivers. Celebrate women’s right to vote with the YWCA Northeast Indiana this year! They’re going to teach you everything you need to know about hitting those polls! 2. Equal Means Equal Screening Friday, August 26 at 7 p.m. Equal Means Equal looks at how women are treated in the U.S. today. My guess (spoiler alert): It’s not actually equal. 3. LFW Film Series — It Happened One Night Friday, August 26 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Free movie, fun activities, and food available for purchase! 4. 2016 Botanical Roots Concert Series: John Primer (Blues) Friday, August 26 from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Stop by and enjoy the live music, and purchase a drink or two from Mad Anthony Brewing while you’re there. Don’t miss a more in-depth summary of the event here. 5. 1st Annual Fort Wayne Fitness Fest at Headwaters Park With Celebrity Tony Little! Saturday, August 27 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. This festival has anything you could want or think of. Food, drinks, raffles, experts, education … literally, anything you could want. 6. 2016 Taste of the Arts Saturday, August 27 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. I love Taste of the Arts! There will be live performances, food and art available for purchase (or to just sit back, and enjoy). 1. Euchre Tournament! Thursday, March 31 at 8 pm There’s a Euchre tournament at Pedal City on Thursday with great prizes! Should be super fun, Euchre is basically a competitive sport if you’re from Indiana. Kinda like Corn-hole. 2. The Last Five Years April 1-10 Friday and Saturday at 8pm Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm I heard this was a great show! You can read more of the details about the production in our LFW preview article. I’ll definitely be going to see this show, and you should too! 3. Flamingo Nosebleed, the Snarks, AM Nice, Bi at Bob Vila’s This Old House Friday, April 1 at 7 pm Have you ever been to Bob Vila’s This Old House? If you have not … you should! Everyone is welcome to these house shows, and it’s a great time in a great place! 4. All In Block Party April 1-3, times and locations vary “Progress” through the city visiting the different branches of Allen County Public Library and complete the challenges set before you! 5. Soiree’s Can Opener Saturday, April 2 at 4 pm 10 local, relatively new bands will be playing at the Philmore on Broadway. Come out and support local talent! Also, Bravas will be there and CS3 is providing drinks. Yay! 6. Easter Bone Hunt Saturday, April 2 at 12 pm So much cuteness happening here. I cannot wait to take my dog to this. Last year, I hid easter eggs for my daughter and when I woke up, the dog had found/eaten all of them. So. He will be happy to have an event all his own. I am sure of it. 7. Skunk Cabbage — It’s More Than Just a Smelly Plant Sunday, March 3 at 1 pm Skunk Cabbage is weird. Pack up the kiddos and take them to Fox Island to spend some time in the great outdoors and maybe learn some stuff too! 8. Monthly Gallery Cleanup Sunday, April 3 at 3 pm Wunderkammer is great. We love Wunderkammer. Let’s help Wunderkammer stay fresh. 9. Taiko Drumming Workshop Tuesday, April 5 at 10 am I don’t actually know anything about Taiko Drumming, but this looks super cool. I can’t keep a beat to save my life, but if you can and you know something about drumming, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn from a taiko master. 10. StoryBook’s “Dr. Seuss on the loose!” Wednesday, April 6 at 9:30 am Fort Wayne Youtheatre’s StoryBook Theatre is presenting “Dr. Seuss on the Loose” at the Allen County Public Library! If you’re a young professional looking to make some professional connections (or just some friends), join us! 2. Peppa Pig at the Embassy Thursday, March 24 at 6 pm               My 3-year-old LOVES Peppa Pig. This show at the Embassy should be great, and it’s something the whole family can enjoy! 3. Dinner and a Movie: “Hungry for Change” Friday, March 25 at 7 pm                 Three Rivers Co-Op and Natural Grocery is hosting a screening of “Hungry for Change,” a film looking into the secrets of the diet, weight loss, and food industries that could be keeping us to continue struggling to lose weight. This film will change your life! Snacks and food from the cafe are available for purchase. 4. Easter in the Garden Friday, March 25 from 10 am to 3 pm               Easter at the Botanical Conservatory! Kids can participate in activities, visit with the easter bunny, and have a chance at winning a sweet prize. There’s even some live animals available for cuddling.   5. Easter Fest at Jefferson Pointe Saturday, March 26 from 12 pm to 4 pm       There’s a free visit with the Easter Bunny! Kids can also get their faces painted, play games, and visit a petting zoo! 6. Glow In The Dark Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 26 at 8:30 pm             Uh, a glow in the dark easter egg hunt in Schnelker Park? SO FUN. Don’t forget your flashlight! 7.
