Youtheatre: The Canterville Ghost Friday, October 6, 2017 – Sunday, October 8, 2017 Come to Canterville Chase, an ancient home haunted by the ghost of a dead nobleman. You’re invited to a tour and a party in this audience immersive theatrical experience with all the creaking floorboards, clanking chains, and ancient prophecies that mix spooky and funny. An engaging alternative to the traditional audience/actor experience! Please be advised – the audience will be doing some standing/walking during this show. Take a look at the lights, wear your ugliest sweater, then stop by JKs when the run is done for an ugly sweater contest and drinks.   2. 1816 Historic Film Friday, December 16 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, December 18, at 3 p.m. It’s the official Indiana Bicentennial film! Check it out this weekend at the History Center.   3. When Harry Met Star Wars Christmas Event! Saturday, December 17, all day Celebrating the awesomeness that is a new Harry Potter movie and a new Star Wars film all in one year.   4. FWDC Annual Holiday Show: Ice Kings, Snow Queens & Cold Winter Tales Saturday, December 17 at 7 p.m. It’s a beautiful winter performance that you don’t want to miss!   5. Kick ChristmASS Weekend – Die Hard & Batman Returns Saturday and Sunday, December 16 and 17 The other day I asked someone what his favorite Christmas movie is. He said Die Hard. So, this event makes perfect sense.   6. The Spirit of Christmas Saturday and Sunday, December 17 and 18, at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Heartland Sings’ beautiful Christmas concert. Don’t miss it, it’s wonderful.   7. Santa’s Sleigh is on its Way to Indiana Saturday, December 17 at 11 a.m. Story time and activities surrounding this fun book! Your kiddos will love it.   8. Fort Wayne’s Chase the Chill Scarf Bombing Sunday, December 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This is the 3rd year we’ve bombed the city with scarves. Hang your winter gear up around town with tags saying anyone can claim them. Scarves will be taken down before dark and donated to local shelters and street teams.   9. Fort Wayne Youtheatre presents Best Christmas Pageant Ever Friday, December 16 at 7 p.m. Saturday, December 17 at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 18 at 2 p.m. This is one of my favorite Christmas stories, and it will be so fun to see the Youtheatre put it on...

There’s something for everyone, and some really unique pieces will be featured!  5. Arena Dinner Theatre: Wait Until Dark October 7, 8, 14, and 15 Dinner served at 7 p.m. Curtain time is 8 p.m. ‘ It’s October … the perfect month for a thriller at Arena Dinner Theatre! The show is great and the season is right. 6. Fort Wayne Bombshells Burlesque: Phobias Laid Bare Friday, October 7 – Doors at 8:30 p.m. Show at 9 p.m. Are you afraid of the dark? Do dolls creep you out? Or maybe needles make you squirm. Face your fears with the extra dash of excitement that is burlesque. Plus, you could win a cool prize in the costume contest! 7. CE Anniversary Coloring Contest Saturday, October 8 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Celebrate the City Exchange Shop’s one year anniversary! There’s a coloring contest for both kids and adults, complete with some great prizes. Join the fun! 8. W< Community Mural Project Saturday, October 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s the first community mural project at Wunderkammer. 1. Euchre Tournament! Thursday, March 31 at 8 pm There’s a Euchre tournament at Pedal City on Thursday with great prizes! Should be super fun, Euchre is basically a competitive sport if you’re from Indiana. Kinda like Corn-hole. 2. The Last Five Years April 1-10 Friday and Saturday at 8pm Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm I heard this was a great show! You can read more of the details about the production in our LFW preview article. I’ll definitely be going to see this show, and you should too! 3. Flamingo Nosebleed, the Snarks, AM Nice, Bi at Bob Vila’s This Old House Friday, April 1 at 7 pm Have you ever been to Bob Vila’s This Old House? If you have not … you should! Everyone is welcome to these house shows, and it’s a great time in a great place! 4. All In Block Party April 1-3, times and locations vary “Progress” through the city visiting the different branches of Allen County Public Library and complete the challenges set before you! 5. Soiree’s Can Opener Saturday, April 2 at 4 pm 10 local, relatively new bands will be playing at the Philmore on Broadway. Come out and support local talent! Also, Bravas will be there and CS3 is providing drinks. Yay! 6. Easter Bone Hunt Saturday, April 2 at 12 pm So much cuteness happening here. I cannot wait to take my dog to this. Last year, I hid easter eggs for my daughter and when I woke up, the dog had found/eaten all of them. So. He will be happy to have an event all his own. I am sure of it. 7. Skunk Cabbage — It’s More Than Just a Smelly Plant Sunday, March 3 at 1 pm Skunk Cabbage is weird. Pack up the kiddos and take them to Fox Island to spend some time in the great outdoors and maybe learn some stuff too! 8. Monthly Gallery Cleanup Sunday, April 3 at 3 pm Wunderkammer is great. We love Wunderkammer. Let’s help Wunderkammer stay fresh. 9. Taiko Drumming Workshop Tuesday, April 5 at 10 am I don’t actually know anything about Taiko Drumming, but this looks super cool. I can’t keep a beat to save my life, but if you can and you know something about drumming, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn from a taiko master. 10. StoryBook’s “Dr. Seuss on the loose!” Wednesday, April 6 at 9:30 am Fort Wayne Youtheatre’s StoryBook Theatre is presenting “Dr. Seuss on the Loose” at the Allen County Public Library!
